Alyssa’s passion for her work is matched only by her love of music. Based in Los Angeles, she works as a performer, strategy consultant, and coach.

Alyssa currently works full time at Universal Music Group leading international streaming strategy for Disney repertoire. As a part of UMG’s partnership with Disney Music Group, her strategy drives international streaming priorities, marketing initiatives, playlist optimization, and communication with DSPs including Spotify, Apple, and Amazon. Her previous experience includes data analytics at Warner Bros. Discovery, sync licensing at DA Music, DEI programming at the Pacific Symphony, and creative consulting for The Infinite Stage.

As a performer, Alyssa is a flutist and piccoloist playing gigs throughout Southern California. She holds a Master of Music from CSU Long Beach, a Certificate in Music Business from the Berklee College of Music, and a Bachelor of Music from Biola University. Her most formative teachers include Diana Morgan, Dr. John Barcellona, Gary Woodward, and Brian Bensing. In addition to numerous masterclasses and festivals with the likes of Jim Walker and Bonnie Boyd, Alyssa has won multiple concerto competitions performing pieces with orchestra including Martin’s Ballade and the Nielsen Flute Concerto. She has received several distinguished scholarships and awards including the Missy Belton Service Award and Scholarship as well as the Long Beach Distinguished Achievement in Creative Activity Award.

Alyssa is a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors College at Biola University, a humanities intensive honors program based in Socratic discussion. Her academic writing centers around the intersection of music and philosophy, culminating in her masters thesis entitled Examining the Case of Mahler and Kierkegaard: Existentialism In Symphony No. 2 Mvt III and The Sickness Unto Death which focuses on the third movement of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 (Resurrection) in conversation with Søren Kierkegaard’s The Sickness Unto Death. While at CSU Long Beach Alyssa taught music history and music appreciation as a graduate assistant. Currently, she occasionally subs for music appreciation, music history, and music literature classes.

Alyssa is a passionate advocate for both the arts and social issues. She often partners with arts nonprofit organizations and performs at events for social causes. Notably, she has worked with Love Never Fails and the Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition to perform her original composition “Circles” at Art for Justice, an awareness event in Santa Clara, California. Alyssa is also passionate about programming and elevating the voices of diverse composers in music today. Her most recent project, Estampes, centers around Debussy’s piano piece of the same name and features musical prints written by composers from Valarie Coleman to Jennifer Margaret Barker.
